The Swizzlestick!

Well, hot damn. I've hit the [jackpot] today. (Yes, that's a link to porn. Yes, those are klingons. No, i'm not a Star Trek fan.)

This quarter, at the illustrious [RIT], birthplace of bricks, I'm taking three classes. Engineering Math, Statics + Dynamics, and Circuits 1. We're into the third week of classes (out of ten), and I just bought the first book of the quarter today, and it was $11. Talk about a cheap quarter. :P

I am a complete and total [metroid] fanboy. I've been playing Fusion and Zero Mission waaaay too much for the past couple weeks, ever since I learned that Game Boy Advance emulators run beautifully on my laptop. I fear for my sanity, but please, no interventions. They are unwelcome.

I have pictures to share with you all. This is [Erin], a friend of a friend who is now my friend, too. Everyone say "Hi Erin." Here is [proof] that the government wants to fuck me proper. Here's some [porn] and [chicken]. And, finally, here is a [sign] that was, and I swear to god, in the restaurant of the hotel I live in. And the following is to make you all grin:

A duck dressed up like a clown

03.14.2004, 12:33 amLooking at the Floor Prompted This. Don't Ask How.

I was thinking about love tonight. Everyone with any sense in them says that love at first sight is bullshit. And, since I like to think that I have at least a little sense in me, I agree with them. But tonight I found myself thinking about one-night stands. For no reason whatsoever.

I would say that most one-night stands are all about sex. Pure and simple. But something else can happen, too. Imagine meeting someone, for the first time. You connect almost instantly; everything they do seems perfectly meaningful; everything they think, you've thought before; everything they say, you've said, or at least tried to say, but they seem to be able to put it into words so much more eloquently than you ever could. And it seems too good to be true.

You talk, you listen, you feel, you interact, you touch, you kiss... things happen that you never thought would happen with a stranger. But are they really a stranger, this person that seems so in tune with you? Perhaps, in a purely definitional sense, but perhaps not, in a way that is more real than a word can ever be...

Then, in the morning, you wake up alone, wondering if that you remember actually happened or whether it was all a dream. But you can still smell their smell, you remember the way their skin felt, the sound their hair made as your fingertips brushed through it. But then you think about how perfect they seemed, in every way, and you think, one more time, that it was too good to last, too good to be true. You tell yourself that you were lucky to have been given the chance you were.

And never once do you think that they might be thinking the same about you.
